THE PROGRAM

NSW HIGH PERFORMANCE CENTRE

The GNSW Men's High Performance Centre (NSW HPC) is a high performance program dedicated to developing international elite gymnasts.  Set up by Gymnastics NSW (GNSW) and supported by The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS), Sydney Gymnastics Centre (SGAC) and Gymnastics Australia (GA), it is designed and operated specifically for men's gymnastics. Our objectives are to  identify and develop gymnasts through the high performance pathway with athletes coming from across New South Wales for intensive training under an expert team of coaches anywhere from 4 - 30 hours per week.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Placement within the NSW HPC is by invitation only with all athletes being put through an initial assessment for their suitability for the program.  The NSW HPC offers a program catered towards every phase of an athlete's development from Beyond 2020 Development Squads, Junior Elite Development as well as the Senior Squad program.  Assessments can be requested by coaches, families or athletes directly or by an invitation from one of our talent identification initiatives.  If a placement is offered within the  NSW HPC all athletes train at the programs  hub located within the state of the art Sydney Gymnastics and Aquatic Centre in Rooty Hill, Western Sydney.
